Pastor/Rector

Born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Preston has been in pastoral ministry for over fifteen years in a variety of church contexts. He has a passion for the unity of the body of Christ and the mission of the Church. 

Preston is a priest in the Diocese of Saint Anthony in the Communion of Evangelical Episcopal Churches.

Preston has been married to Ashley Sharpe since 2006. Ashley is a licensed therapist in private practice. They have two daughters: Lucy who was born in 2013, the same year they moved to Nashville to plant Sacrament, and Betty who was born in 2022.

Preston holds a B.A. in Biblical Literature from Oral Roberts University and an M.A. in Christian Ministry from Friends University.

Jessica Rider

Deacon

Jessica Rider has been a faithful member of Sacrament since 2019, and she and her family are such an important part of our parish. Jessica was ordained to the diaconate in 2023. She serves our community in liturgy, teaching, catechesis, and pastoral care. Jessica is an elementary school teacher. She is married to Nick. And, if you've been around Sacrament for long, you know their wonderful children, Hendrix and Elsie. 

 

Sam Schmidt

Music Leader

Originally from Warsaw, Indiana, Sam moved to Nashville after graduating from Grace College, where he studied worship arts.

Sam is married to McKenna. He is a gifted and creative artist, and production manager at Harvest Hands CDC.

 

Sarah Moran

Director of Child Formation

Sarah joined Sacrament Church in 2015. She is passionate about teaching children and creates a fun and caring environment where kids can discover God’s love and joy. She has experience working with children of all ages, particularly infants to elementary schoolers.

Sarah and her husband David have a son named Riley. They enjoy spending time together as a family and serving their church community.

 

David Moran

Audio/Visual

David was born and raised in the Metro Detroit area. He moved south to attend Lee University where he developed his passion for music and AV production. He moved to Nashville in 2012 and works full time as an audio engineer, both in studio and for live shows and events, and he has brought that experience to our audio and video Sunday mornings since joining in 2015. He is married to Sarah, and they have a son, Riley.
